    SRT 5038041AA oil filters

Appreciate that. I guess it's ok to use a filter a little larger than a shot glass? The size of the OEM filter wasn't engineered for functionality but was "sized down" as a last resort solely "to fit" I think.

Well that was unexpected ! Lifter gone 52,000 miles.

Something in the primary wiring or yes, it could be MDS solenoid. I'm sure you reset code...? The ecm may still be compensating for the failed lifter but I'm not a tech so...

    Shop manual's

Does anyone know of a reasonable "Tech Authority" service manual for 2019 Ram 1500 Classic? Or at least a Chilton/Haynes.

    SRT 5038041AA oil filters

Good question. Good thing I bought a few a while back! PIA to get these filters on but they work well.

    Another interesting oil concern…goofy??

Is it safe to go to conventional after synthetic? I heard this was a bad idea. I have 31 thousand so far-no issues (that I know of).

    Another interesting oil concern…goofy??

You can take 1000 Ram trucks and line them up, all the same color, same engine, drivetrain, same interior etc. I guarantee you-there’s going to be marginal differences in the quality of materials, tolerances and flat out performance. Just like firearms. I’ve been reloading for a long time. Put...

Well that was unexpected ! Lifter gone 52,000 miles.

Because of the OP's concerns/issues, I use this religiously along with PUP 5w-20 and Genuine Mopar 5038041AA Oil Filter (used on Viper etc.) This is also one of the reasons why I still have stock exhaust-so I can HEAR any "ticking". My motto is "if it's not broke don't fix it" but later down the...

I found a grommet under rear drivers side seat. Still never got SWR’s right. Can’t find a CB shop to save my life.

Well that was unexpected ! Lifter gone 52,000 miles.

I use PUP 5w20 every 5000 miles ALONG with Tech-Moly (Germany). Have to find it but there’s a video on YT explaining exactly how the oil reaches lifter bearings. In the Hemi’s. Always wondered why Ram says 20 weight and it’s because it’s supposedly the only way it can reach certain areas.

Ground in the bed . . . for CB antenna.

I know this is old thread but exactly what my issue is. I'm using #8 copper with copper lugs on each end to ground from antenna mount to chassis. Antenna mounted to toolbox, toolbox mounted to bed (makes contact via bolts on each side contacting underside of bed rails). Anyway my SWR's are high...

    Installing 6" rough country lift

I'm not really an expert or authority on these lifts, I just read a ton of material and watched about 500 video's on it, LOL. First off, make sure (whatever kit you get) includes the coiled front struts. Second, yes, I would replace upper control arms simply because- though the geometry may be...

    Lift

I have 305's on mine and only have leveling kit-no rubbing on a good day. If you're gonna do any kind of lift just go for the 6" (Zone, Super-Lift or RC). The Bilstein's are a better way to go as far as leveling is concerned but 600.00 to me isn't worth the factory ride if I wanted to go higher...

What motor oil and oil filter do you use and why?

Haven't found the exact content yet but a few facts about it can be found here>>> https://liquimolymalaysia.my/blogs/news/4-facts-you-probably-dont-know-about-liqui-moly-mos2 Looking into the Lubegard which makes sense about the "sludge" formed from LM.

What motor oil and oil filter do you use and why?

Yes I'm resurrecting yet ANOTHER thread! Never before have I been so "consciences" or "paranoid" about what brand or type oil to use in my HEMI! I have read countless articles, threads in this forum and many others including "Bob Is the Oil Guy, Dave's Oil Change, Mopar, ATVA Online, etc.." I...

Neat setups there! The middle console that meets the dash didn’t come with my truck and that’s probably a good thing. I did solve the issue with trying to connect all sorts of goodies to the battery! 12 banks fused power distribution box. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    CB Radio mounting location

I know this thread has some dust on it but if anyone is still scratching their head about a mount solution, I came up with this for 2019 1500 Classic Tradesman. Nothing great but is the least invasive way I could install my President Walker II. Just an 8x10" 1/8" aluminum plate and used the...

    4x4 mysteriously comes on?

My 4x4 high engaged for the second time today. The first time this happened was a few weeks ago, when I thought that maybe I just accidentally hit the button. Today I was pulling into a parking spot at Home Depot and I heard/felt a binding noise/feeling. 4-H was blinking then turned solid. I...

    2018 Brake Controller

Down the road, when I can afford a new "Kubota or John Deere", I will upgrade axles! For now, only building materials, box cargo or pipe will be hauled. 2018 Brake Controller

They are 3500 lb. axles (2.375"). Before I install planks I want to stub out the wires (the previous owner cut them). Been having an issue with one of the shackles inverting on front axle (both sides) I think after I get the weight of the wood on it my shackles won't do this. I replaced the...
