What DON'T you like about your RAM?

My two biggest gripes with my 2020 1500 Limited are: The owner's manual that comes with it sucks (though the PDF file available online is much better). The stupid trailer mirror option kills the suround view feature which is very nice (I recently got to drive another vehicle that had it). I...

    Thinking about removing Tapatalk.

I run several other forum sites and I'm not overly interested in Tapatalk. I keep it on one site because it's working but the later versions of vB and XF have pretty decent native mobile support, I can't see the point. If it caused an issue, it would be an easy thing to dismiss. Other than...

Will I use the Rambox? Ordering soon, need advice.

I had an Avalanche before the RAM which has a standard feature similar to the RAMBOX. Frankly, I didn't use it much. It had the cargo net and a set of jumper cables usually. Originally, I'd put the hitch in there when I wasn't using it, but I just ended up leaving it mounted in the receiver.

What happens if I push this button?

I'm probably dating myself with this one:

Shady business from the service advisor

There are crappy service departments and honest ones. Oddly, every dealer I've bought a vehicle from, has had a completely crooked service department (to include the RAM dealership I just used). The two local dealerships I've been dealing with on the other hand (one Toyota, one Chevrolet)...

I hate the Ram manual and Inane setup option

You can get it right off the main Mopar page too. I guess I should put it in the books app on my phone.

Does anyone have an actual printed, full owner's manual that came with your truck?

Yes, the printed one is completely useless and I've seen better English on my Japanese vehicles. The online one is better. I should download it to my phone or something.

Does anyone have an actual printed, full owner's manual that came with your truck?

I got one, but I do not believe it is the same as the one that is available for download.

I hate the Ram manual and Inane setup option

OK, I get up this morning to go drive the car. It's a rare 28 degree day here in NC. The car gripes that the right side tires are low in pressure. Oddly this is one of these oddball ones where the left side tires are also at 30 psi but they are fine. No problem, says I. I drive the truck over...

Trying to buy a 2020 Limited

People make this confusion all the time but AUTOSTOP and E-TORQUE are distinct features. E-Torque just makes auto stop tolerable (as well as a few other benefits). It's what Ram calls a "mild hybrid." Essentially, they've replaced the alternator with an MG and added a hefty battery behind...

Adding rail tie downs on top of Line-X

I put the Utility rails in my new truck after the dealer had applied a sprayed in bedliner. The holes were still there but they were gunked up with the bedliner goo. It however was quite easy to clean them out with a drill bit slightly smaller than the hole.

    Disabling eTorque

You disable auto-stop by pushing a button on the dash (just below the 4WD controls if you have 4wd). You don't have to touch eTorque.

    New 1500 owner

Ugh. I called the dealership to find out where my cover was and they claim it arrived the day before. Fine, I'll come get it. Do you want us to install it? Sure. Service guy gets on the phone. Wants me to leave the truck there for several hours and pay $300. Tell them forget it...

Well, I added a few aftermarket features. First off, the model we got didn't have a CD Player (which we occasionally use for audio books. so I got a USB one). I also just finished installing the bed extender and the utility rails. Still waiting for the tonneau cover to arrive.

2020 1500 eTorque with terrible MPG

I've got a 2020 Ram 1500 Limited (5.7 w/etorque). I'm getting way better. It's averaging right around 18. It goes way up on the highway.

Do you take off as soon as the engine starts?

I usually start and then buckle my seat belt and make sure the mirrors are set. Unless the windshield is frosted over or something (less a problem down here in the south), I just out and go.

    Trailer breakaway switch

The one on my boat trailer is a secondary mechanical cable that engages the brakes. It's easy to test (in fact, it's a handy way to set the trailer brakes when you've uncoupled it).

You can get the sticker PDF for any vehicle you have the VIN for from Monroney, by the way.

    Navigation

Plug your phone via its cord into one of the USB data jacks and it should automatically bring up the Android Auto. You need either Android 10 (which has it built in) or install the AndroidAuto app on Android 9.

A deer did in my 2004 Toyota Tundra a couple of weeks ago. Dodge is a new experience for me, I've had Chevy trucks (Suburban and Avalanche) for the past few decades. Since we do use our crew cab for extended travel (our other vehicles are tiny, my Volt and my wife's A4 cabriolet), we were...

    UConnect nav little black rectangles

Here's our first question. Just got a 2020 truck wth the 12" screen. Randomly placed on the map at certain times are little black rectangles. I've driven over them and poked at them with my fingers, but I have no clue what they are. My wife also has a hard time reading the dark blue on...
