For All You Fans Of Oversize Tires

That kind of thing happens at Mercedes too, doesn't matter what they pay you. If you have the job then it's your responsibility, period, no matter if you get $3/hr or $300/hr!!!

Accidents happen, yes. As long as the owners do their due diligence, I'm good. Glad no one was hurt!!

    New 2023 Ram 2500 rebel

Unfortunately, this general statement is wrong and dangerous. You still need to stay within your specs if you want to be safe. Too much tongue weight is just as bad as not enough!!

Careful if you want RAM EV, it maybe more expensive than you think

I think https://vinfastauto.us/ has the right idea, where you can basically lease the battery. https://vinfastauto.us/battery-subscription Not sure how it exactly works, don't want it, don't care much, really. But it might be the right way to go for people who can't wait to drive a BEV with a...

Halogen lights. Are they really that bad??

That's where it comes in handy. My old Ram had only Halogens and it was fine. Of course, if you drive a lot at night and rural, absolutely, upgrade to LED and keep drilling holes into the night!!

I agree on the trailer tires. With them I did rely on Uhaul, and I did not specifically check for speed/weight rating, just overall condition. I'm getting a car hauler so I assume it's ready and up to spec.! Even if it was just a J tire (up to 62mph), I think 65-70 is still okay. The 55mph...

To my knowledge the tow/haul mode extends shift points and eliminates 8th gear.

    Off-Road Flatbed design

I don't know if there's a height regulation for license plate/lights where you live, but that butt hangs way too low for my taste. I'd also be concerned with payload for a 1/2to truck.

    For the towing newbies...

Need to add more pressure for the added weight on the rear axle. Driving with flat tires is worse than driving with overinflated tires ;) 10 to 15 percent, yes. The trailer was not unstable at all, but I also did only between 65-70mph, and I was looking very far ahead. As to loading the car...

.... or the ones who are a little scared. Here's some real life data from a tow I did today. Nothing spectacular, I just want to put your mind at ease a little before perhaps you start to overthink this subject. Our RAM 1500 is listed with a towing capacity of 10K and some change. Trailer...

2019 6.7 burned to the ground

Very sad indeed. Call insurance, then call your attorney. Go from there. I would not just write this off, hell no. Truck is barely 4yrs old. Customers can (and should) expect more and there's a reason why it burned to the ground. Unless you threw a burning cigarette on the floor and forgot about...

    newbie to towing

Great advice here so far. Don't buy into these electronic "helpers" as they are contributing to the dumbing down of people. Trailering, like so many other things in life, are learned by doing and practice is what it takes. Now people can't stay in their lane anymore w/o a stupid machine beeping...

    Tires need advice

From your choices I'd choose the Falken, simply because they have a better reputation (I myself never had any). Have you considered Nitto? I've had a very good experience with them.

    Starting a business towing?

Keep it both small and simple, your business as well as your headaches. But do get a commercial insurance as mentioned above.
