I’ve reused pistons and rods on a handful of 350 Chevys and one 5.9 magnum with great results. New rings, bearings, gaskets, and a hone and send it if it’s just a N/A DD- DaveyGMagnum

Hmmm… how can I tell if mine is the JTEC or not? I guess I could pull the whole engine, trans, ecu, and wiring from the donor…- DaveyGMagnum

Mind if I ask how many miles it made it? My 02 4.7 is at 129k and seems to be pretty strong at the moment, but I’m picking up a donor 03 to pull the powerplant and build up ready to drop in at a moments notice.- DaveyGMagnum

Most bang for buck out of 4.7?
So I just got a new to me 2002 1500 4.7 (formerly owned 96 and 99 5.9 magnum trucks) and I’m looking for what mods can get me the most useful power (mainly torque down low if possible) truck currently has a K+N filter in the stock box, and ~130k miles, everything else hardware looks bone stock...- DaveyGMagnum
