    Yup. That was it. To me, and it's just my opinion, I think I would rather swap out for a 392 rather than to sink big $$$ into a 5.7 just to attain 392 performance.

    The torque in R/T versions of the 6.4 is like, 475 ft lbs.? Our 5.7s have 395 hp with 410 ft lbs of torque by comparison.

    I think the 392 truck version, from what I read, is like 425 hp with 417 ft pounds of torque. Although that may have changed with the newer RAMs.

    I've watched a lot of videos and read a lot comments on building 5.7s to get the power of a 392. It never made sense to me to sink tons of money into a 5.7 just to get the output, (or a little better), that, i.e., a stock R/T 392 would make. Am I wrong? Any thoughts?

    I've noticed that if I let my RAM roll slightly from a dead stop and then go WOT, it launches pretty good, (a pedal commander should eliminate me having to let it roll a little before jumping into it) ...and when I do tow haul and am doing about 35 mph, and then tromp into it, it'll set me back...

    How were you able to eat the lunch of an 8spd Ram with a 6spd Ram? Was it on the run or from a dead stop? I have a 6spd but I think I'd prefer the gearing of an 8spd with my 3:55s.

    Just a wire brush. They cleaned up pretty easy. I also used felt washers and sprayed the terminals with a red anti corrosive. It's been starting up with no issues at all since I replaced the old battery with my new AGM, as suggested by everyone who responded.

    Seven years was definitely a long life for the old one. After reading everyone's suggestions and doing some research I'm glad I went ahead and bought the better battery, despite the hefty cost, and I'm glad I asked questions here. Everyone was real helpful.

    Mine sounds similar when I first start it up, something like a squeaky pulley. After about 30 seconds or so the sound goes away. I have 67,000+ on mine.

    Looks like I'll be getting a new battery and terminal, at the least. The truck did try to start but it was a slow crank and not enough power to turn the engine over.
