Home Depot has it for less than 80 bucks as it’s the same as on Amazon which doesn’t have battery. When I bought mine I got it without batt as I have a bunch already.
FYI oil filter work outside to in. Direct flow from oil sump/pump to filter. If you are using an OEM filter or better than any ferrous metals that would be large enough to cause any damage to engine would be trapped in filter, thus making a filter magnet useless.
Magnetic drain plugs do work...
I just got mine back from having the recall done. I waited almost 4 months for them to get the parts in as I was 24th in line at the dealer. The dealers have a running list of trucks waiting. The busier the dealer the longer the wait as FCA only issues a set amount of pumps per week per dealer...
Got my truck back and not real happy. It runs fine even seems maybe a little smoother. Problem is service. On way home from dealer kept smelling fuel and oil. No big deal as I know you spill some fuel when changing fuel pumps. Later on in evening I was walking dog past truck and seen oil spots...
Dealer said they are only getting 1 pump a week and there is 25 trucks ahead of me. They want me to drop it off and leave with them until fixed. I said they are crazy.
Newer 5th wheels are being designed to be towed with short beds. I have a 40’ Avalanche and use factory puck system with a B&W fixed hitch. I can turn just as much as the long beds.
That’s from a small chip, scratch or pin hole in the paint. You must live in a salty environment. Driving on salty roads or living close to the ocean causes this. If you stripped the paint and conducted a chloride test on the metal I guarantee you would have high levels.
