Before I go aftermarket, has anyone found a way to install factory aux switches with the towing tech group?
The only option I’ve found is the large 6 switch bank goes in place of the trailer steering controller and mini sensor switches to right.
Thanks in advance!
The only vehicle I don’t service (yet) is my wife’s Land Rover Discovery. All scheduled maintenance is gratis for the first 2 years. There’s ZERO upsell when I bring it in and they wash it weekly.
The lugs are not torque to yield bolts so there should be ZERO stretch to them. They can over time weaken if over or under torqued and eventually fail. I check all lug torque values monthly but I’m OCD like that.
I assume the truck otherwise runs fine? You mentioned CEL was on for frequent regens. Any other codes? If the injectors are “fine” and one isn’t dumping fuel into the cylinder have you verified all are within spec? Have you checked the cross-over tube? If all else checks my bet would be the...
Trim level, features, etc? I‘m in the market for a Lone Star (Texas market BigHorn) and have the dealer down to $65k. I think I’ll wait until next week to see what deals Chrysler Capital has to offer before moving forward as 6.9% has me in no hurry.
2023 Ram 1500 Big Horn with a door lock issue. Whether I lock the doors with the fob or lock button all four doors appear to lock and the Ram app confirms all are locked. All doors cannot be opened from the outside (while locked) except the front passenger door. It opens as if the doors are...
Low hanging fruit. If the EPA really wants to do something about nothing, they will go after the shipping, construction and aviation markets.
So far...crickets.
My dealer and master techs are jacka$$es…. They know I’ve got dash cams in my vehicles and go out of their way to waive, make faces and talk smack when in the vehicles. I’ve known most of them 20+ years so I’d be offended if they didn’t have a good time…lol
2023 RAM 1500 eTorque with almost 1000 miles and zero issues. I too was on the fence about the eTorque after driving a used 2021 non-eTorque and 2023 eTorque back to back the 2023 was much smoother. Both were nearly identical and on the same 40 mile test loop I ran, the eTorque was 4mpg more...
Great pics and glad the install and programming went well.
I went with the trailer group in mine - brake controller, trailer steering and trailer tire TPMS sensors. The brake controller works very well.
I’m in Dallas - 700’ above sea level. The TPMS sensors that came with the truck for my trailer tires report the same pressure as the manual gauge.
I think I’ll bring this up with my service advisor when I stop in next week.
