    first of all, from what I was told, there is only 1 ram that has real leather the rest are pleather. In Phoenix in the summer you either don't wear shorts, put a towel on your seat and steering wheel or just aim your truck North when you park and always look for a tree for shade!

    8 speed tranny shudder/clunk/stutter

    this problem probably has been around for a long time. I had a 98 2500 when lightly accelerating and going up a slight incline, would shudder going into high gear, sometimes. Had it for 10 years never had any major problems with it. Was I lucky, guess we'll never know.

    when you buy insurance or warranty, you are betting against yourself. you probably have a 60,000 mile drive train warranty. so if you buy one, find out what all it covers ( usually not bumper to bumper) and how much do you pay every time you bring it in.
