Very easy. I gave myself a few days days to spray the bolts with penetrating oil to make sure it was a breeze. There is 6 18mm bolts holding the bed on. They are large and most likely can’t snap off but you might strip the threads on the bed if it’s rusty so I sprayed them once a day for 3 days...
There are a few threads out there already but I wanted to make a quick searchable solution for anyone battling the dreaded, elusive, evap p0440. For the past 2 years I’ve replaced evap parts here and there to find the leak. Sometimes I received “very small” or “very large” leak detected codes...
I found the issue but haven’t been able to update you guys until now. The fuel pump was very cracked and corroded under the retaining ring.

Unfortunately it’s not that easy of a fix. I replaced the ldp pump easily on the side of the charcoal filter already. The leak is coming from somewhere around the fuel pump locations atop the tank.

My leak is coming from above the tank. I still can’t pinpoint where but now I know the the tank must be dropped...
I just made a homemade evap smoke machine and my leak is coming from above the tank. I still can’t pinpoint where but now I know the the tank must be dropped unless anyone has any ideas for me?

The water is pooling in the storage basins. The basins hold the water and it does not leak under into the metal body of the truck. So it’s not the rear vents. I stripped the truck rear seat area down to the metal last week and pressure washed the rear of the truck until I found the water comes...
I wish I could put a sub setup on one side but I can’t stop the water from filling the rear storage compartments. Even after doing a 3rd brake light seal and clearing the rear window channel drain plugs.

I had to unclog the holes for the rear window drain tubes and seal the 3rd brake light and that did not stop the leaks. I think the water comes through the rear window seal too fast. Poor design.
