07 1500 4.7 / Transmission Fluid Capacity Question

So I recently replaced my transmission fluid, sump filter and spin on filter, using ATF+4, and I put in 6 quarts. I ran it around town and checked the fluid level and its still on the COLD dot area. So I put in another quart to bring it to total of 7 quarts and its just a little higher but not near the HOT area. I later then saw on the dipstick that it said if its in-between the two COLD and HOT marks not to add any more fluid..

How does this sound?

Are you checking the fluid in neutral? How is it doing so far?
