Hello so I have a 2008 dodge ram 1500 5.7 and about a month ago I went to work fine when I went to leave the truck would not start it cranks but no fire put gas in intake it worked then shut off. Wiggled wires on tipm it fired ran fine for a little while then a week after it did it again but would shut off while driving found my connector was broke so I Jerry rigged it with wire from rear of tipm pin and connected the wires together ran great no issues for over a month a couple days ago got in it ran great then went to leave job and same thing but this time it wouldnt do anything this is my company truck and only one. Would it be possible to just add my own toggle switch inside cab and bypass wire in tipm I've looked up others who use a jumbler wire in fuse panel issue is none of them look like my fuse panel I have no replaceable relays just fuses and none of them say fuel pump fuse I need help and will give out phone number to who can help thank you ask away for any more info

First off I would address your connector issue on the back of the tipm could be the whole issue.

I am not sure on how to bypass timp/fuel pump relay on a older ram it can be done tho the relay is soldered onto the timp its self. It is not as common of a failure on the older ones as it is on the 4th gens thats why there is a lack of vids a good mechanic should be able to figure this out 4th gens we tap power off of the cig lighter fuse.
