Yes I believe you do. I think even on some trucks they have to trim with the 1.5" spacers too.

it seems to me that the current sport model wheels have more offset than any other wheel on the rams.
mine are "almost flush" as stock. maybe .5-1.0" off

Yes, you do.. I think 1.5" barley clears.
