So from my understanding is the 3.21 does not have a lsd rear end. Does this mean that only one tire will spin? I have a 3.21 gear ratio and 4wd so if this is the case I'm really a 3 wheel drive.

If the rear is an open diff (no limited slip or locker) you can bet the front is open. That means one wheel in the front and one in the back will have power to them if the truck is engaged in 4 wheel drive. What's worse is the wheel with the least traction gets the power. So from my understanding is the 3.21 does not have a lsd rear end. Does this mean that only one tire will spin? Read your window sticker or take your VIN and plug it into the equipment sheet lookup. Could be worrying over nothing.
I believe you'd be into it for 2-3 thousand if you have it installed.I did that's how I just found out what I have. Guess I will be changing over to the factory 3.92 stuff in the future. Wonder how much the whole rear end and front diff will cost from the dealer? Something I need to look into
Can the lsd be added to the 3.21 gears. And yes I messed up. Didn't realize it until it was to late or I would have went 3.92 with the lsd for the rip
Are both the 3.21 and 3.92 open diffs?

If ordered without the LSD option, then they are both open diffs stock.
It doesn't what axle you have, 3.21/3.55/3.92 if the LSD option was not added when ordering it will come with open diff.
if i keep my truck ill be adding a torsen to my 3.21's. I keep wanting 3.92s but then I get on the highway with authority and like them again.
Buy a locker.
