Not sure about the 2014, but my 12 says in the manual that it is rated for 150W, and the breaker will flip at 180W, so you get about 1.3 to 1.4 amps out of it. I used it to run a dremel while trimming my grille for the insert, worked like a charm

Ya your pretty well stuck at not running anything more than 1 amp, your espresso machine is out of the questions, I installed a 500watt unit, peeks at 750, the unit fit right in the dash, works real nice.

Did you replace the factory inverter with the 500 watt one or just add an additional plug? All I ever run on mine is my laptop charger or flashlight battery charger but it'd be nice to have more powerful option if needed one day.

Actually my truck came with none, I installed the my own unit, found one the size of the hole behind the center console and removed the cubby hole, installed the plug and wired it all up. But you could probably replace the original unit with a larger one.

tried using my dremel and it didnt work. The output was not good enough for my dremel and the breaker would shut off.

Yeah, the factory outlet wont power much more than a phone charger or laptop.

Thanks ocelot. Ill have to look into upgrading it as I have a few here. Need to see if the wiring to and from can handle the extra amperage.
