12.1 uconnect upgrade

Anyone know if its possible to have the dealer change out the 8.4 uconnect for the 12.1 screen. I bought a 2019 Ram Laramie sport and it just has the 8.4 uconnect screen.

I would bet that it is possible. You could swap our the small radios for the 8.4" with the 4th gens. It would make sense for everything to use the same wiring. We wont know for sure until somebody tries. If so, I'll be putting one in my Big Horn.

I have the same truck (2019 Laramie sport) and I’m researching on getting this done. I’ll let you know when it happens! On a side note, I’m upset that they put in a Uconnect 4 8.4 in my 57k truck! I can’t access any of Uconnect’s features. Everything works perfectly but I can not believe they would put the screen that goes in a base model charger into a Laramie! I had no idea there was a difference between a Uconnect 4 and a Uconnect 4c . The 8.4 4c/nav screen is 1500$ With 160$ labor so I could do that but if I’m spending that much, I figure I might as well put in the 12”.

I’ll update when I find anything out.
