12 in Screen Satellite radio went out

I bought a 2019 Longhorn with the 12 in screen last weekend. At 250 miles, flipping through Sirius through the steering wheel buttons the satellite radio went out. Nothing on the touch pad Sirius screen works. The navigation still works and it looks like the other touch pad buttons (controls, climate etc ) work. On a YouTube review of the 2019 Rams the host said the truck was excellent aside from a software glitch with the 12 in screen they had favorable remarks. Is this starting to become an issue? Your thoughts. Thanks.

I’m guessing it’s just some sort of software glitch. I’ve got about 250 miles on my Limited and I noticed yesterday that the SXM wasn’t displaying song/artist info anymore but was still playing music like nothing was wrong. I expect a software glitch or two this early on.

Ok today the SXM works just fine. I'm happy now.

I have also noticed if I leave it on the XM screen on the last drive and start the truck up more times than not the screen will not show anything. If I switch to another screen and then back to the media screen everything shows up. So it does seem like a software glitch.

I've seen lots of complaints about different 12" screen issues and heard of a few being replaced already. I'm betting a software update is around the corner and they send them over the air now so you shouldn't even have to visit the dealer when it's released

Just bought 19 Big Horn. The only time I can start my truck or lock the doors with the Sirius Guardian app is if I just shut it off or if running I can unlock or lock. Once it’s off for a bit the commands don’t work. Sirius said it’s a hardware issue however the health report and location work all the time. I’m really frustrated that I cannot use app functions. Guardian people are rude and don’t help. Can I get some assistance please?

Yea the switch to Guardian was a move in the wrong direction if you ask me. Uconnect in the last gen vehicles worked great and had great service. Never once had an issue and preferred using it over many other systems, one of my draws to the brand. This latest revision has left a bad taste in my mouth so far. Texting, phone app, and send and go all have issues. I no longer have apps native to my screen like pandora. My old truck I had a nice Pandora play list going, no cords. In my new truck I have to have cords strewn everywhere and use android auto. The football has been fumbled on the infotainment.

I’m up to 600 miles on my 2019 Limited and the 12 inch screen went black on me just once but reset right away and came back in about 30 seconds. I have yet to have any major issues with it. I love the screen and all the features it offers.

Well crap that sucks.
Have not had any issues yet. I did notice sometimes it takes about 30 secs to unlock or start though. Actually saved my ass a few days ago. The little women drove it to Houston(200miles)
And wasn’t used to using a key fob she locked the doors manually upon exiting and left the fob inside. I was able to unlock it for her using the app. Also used the send and go feature the other day without any issues.

What kind of phone you using. Just curious. I have a iphone6.

Were you ever able to resolve the issue. Mine is having the same problem. Every command I send from the app fails. Going to the dealer tomorrow so was going to bring it up. I called Sirius on Saturday and after an hour on the phone they said that I need to have the dealer run a diagnostic. [emoji849]
