13+ 8.4" screen in 2011

Is it possible to do this? I would like to add the 13+ 8.4" nav to my 2011 power wagon

I have not heard of anyone here doing it. Not to say it has not been done but I think your best bet would be to compare wiring diagrams from both years and then see if a dealer will flash your VIN to the new radio.

Personally, I would avoid that like the plague and go with an aftermarket head unit. Way more flexibility, way more features and quality.

Well it is a can bus system and there is more to that 8.4 than a normal touch screen like in the 2012 rams. The issues you will have is your computer in your truck isn't made to talk to it. I don't think a re-flash will even let it happen as it is pretty complicated programing that the 2012 will just not support.
If you want to try it go for it but it is more than just hooking up wires and praying for the best.

Your still milling around buddy? lol... I kinda fell off this place after I got rid of the outdoorsman. Didn't you ditch the PW for a Cummins?

I have one of the 8.4 screens and wanted to rip it all apart when I got it, just to see what it's all about... pretty complex dude.. It would be a tough swap to anything pre 2013.. it's just crazy how it incorporates so many functions through it and I don;t knoe (as stated) if your truck would even accept it due to how complex it is.

But as always, if there is a will there is a way lol.
