Rear diff went out last night. 4800 miles on the clock and the rear end started screeching popping and clunking. Nice. Very F'ing nice......

Truck has not been raced, run hard, no burnouts/donuts any of that

Ouch. That sucks and is odd.

Do you tow? 3.21 or 3.92? 6 or 8 speed?

Any mods / wheels/ tires?

Dang that sucks . Hopefully you get a quick turn around at the dealership man. Maybe they will throw in 3.92s or 4.10s.

Can you make changes to things broken under warranty? I mean going from 3.55s to 3.92s. Stuff like that.

I hope the warranty gods swoop in quick and get you back on the road, also hope you get a loaner truck in the meantime. To me it is important for the manufacture/dealer to not only warranty these problems in an efficient fashion but also to let the customer know that their (your) time is valuable. Good luck, In till the fix!

Yes but you'll probably be out of pocket a bit of labour n maybe some of the parts, and it depends how cool your dealership is...

Did they not put you in a loaner? I know it's up to the dealer but mine offers loaners even for oil changes. You have an inoperable vehicle that you are paying through the nose for, I wished to hear they put you in another truck for the time being. :puke:

There's two trucks near me that have had the rear end go under warranty. One truck it has gone twice. Both are fleet or company vehicles but one of these is a supervisors vehicle. They are both 2013 models. Don't know what ratio they would be. I know the incident involving the supervisors truck it was carrier bearings. The other don't know.

Dealer told me now it needs a complete rear axle. The housing is too damaged to install new parts. Been over a week and still not done.....
