Hi everyone,

I am looking for feedback on rear helper spring or air spring for 1500's. I tow maybe a dozen times a year but when i tow a car the rear of my truck sags a little bit and i just dont like it. I drove from florida in early 2015 with a uhaul trailer that def sagged the rear of the truck a lot. I am looking to just level it out under a heavier load. Just purchased a car trailer and want to help out my situation in any way.

If anyone has feedback or personal experience on this please share your thoughts. I have a ccsb 14 sport if that makes much difference in my choice of helper springs. I dont want to put upgraded springs in, just air helpers if at all possible. Thanks

I have a 2015 CC sport and purchased the firestone air bags. When I installed them, I kept the lines separate rather than using a T for inflation. They work very well. I tow a 28ft travel trailer every weekend in the summer which weigh 6744lbs dry. Very impressive truck.

I put the air lift 1000 on my 2011 quad cab. I carry a 7k# trailer everyday for work. They were cheap, easy to install, and work great. I would highly recommend!

I put the air lift 1000 on my 2013 ram as well...less than 100 bucks ...I really didn't expect much but they are great. I pull about 4k every day. The truck dropped 5 + inches with out the bags..with 35 psi in the bags it drops less than an inch...

Truck rides stiffer with the bags at 35 psi and no load ..so I drop them down to 5 or so...even with only 5 psi it only drops 2 or 3 inchs..with my 7x14 enclosed

The air lift is easy to do...took me about an hour and a half I'm not a wrenches either.

They bring the rear up about an inch inch and a half without load at 35 psi. ..

Highly recommended

AIr lift 1000 is about half the price of a complete spring upgrade. Never have to worry about air leaks and it is easier to replace teh spring, then wedge a bag in the spring and run teh lines.

Tuftruck 1211 is 3what i have and love them.

If you just purchased a a car hauler trailer load it up before you get carried away load up the car and give it a look. I have towed a bunch of car on a good trailer and never sagged, uhaul trailers are so short it puts alot of weight on the hitch. The airlift 1000s seem to be a very popular cheep option for the occasional towing. Plus aired down no effects on the ride quality.

I put the Tuff Truck TTC-1223V springs and the Hellwig 7709 rear stabilizer bar on my 2013 Ram 1500 4x4 Quad cab and it made a huge difference towing my travel trailer. Truck sags less and handles much better loaded and empty.

Properly load the trailer, sounds like the tongue weight is to high. Move the load to back on the trailer to achieve the correct tongue weight. Are you going to exceed the axle rating with air bags?

Upgraded springs are a better option if you tow often, but you'll lose the factory ride quality. The airbags such as Airlift work better than I had hoped for and keep the ride quality. If you only tow 12 times per year they might be the better way to go here. It's up to you, and what is most important.

This is my truck with my race car. I had the load a bit forward as my trailer is only 16ft long. It def does sag a lot. But I don't use it more than a dozen times a year for towing cars. I appreciate the feedback and from the sounds of it the air lift 1000 is most likely what I'll be looking into.
