Hey Ram Fam, i am going to try to start this as a learning-sharing thread on swapping/upgrading the interior of my 14 RC ST.
Back Story- Found really nice 14 RCSB ST - 160K Previous owner lowered, mopar exhaust, molar CAI & Superchips. Runs Great- Handles Great
Brought home and changed ALL fluids - from the coolant to Diff, all mechanicals are in awesome shape.

Swapped Sport hood and bumper, added fogs, enabled with Alpha OBD and painted Rear Bumper..... Caught the bug :) Cant stop there.

Found a donor truck ( 2014 CC Sport) and pulled Dash ( plan to just swap the dash pad as it come from a 8 speed dial truck and i have no desire to get into that wiring ) Steering Column , cab wiring harness, lighted sun visors, overhead console w/ homelink and rear slider switch, keyless entry door handles, Rear Slider Window. Found Heated Leather ( mesh centres) from a 16 and found some RC Door panels/modules/regulators from a sport for the power options. As well i have a console with shifter from a 13 sport that i want to add. Radio will be all aftermarket.

I am no wiring genius, hence i pulled the entire harness to rob runs from to match the pin outs to my harness. So far so good :) i have the seat wiring ran - working on the door wiring now and running into a bit of confusion that im hoping to sort. Mind the picture that references the "red wire" it is actually PK/YL....was losing the plot a bit with the notes...

Jimmy07 replied in another thread and i was also speaking to Mike M2Mods and he advised to make a new thread for the build. Attached are the pics of the wire that has me confused a bit as to its function, and i will post a bunch of pics of the general progress from what i started with through to the finished project hopefully. I have utilized a ton of great info from the members here thus far and know the knowledge contained here is priceless.

Feel free to offer comments , advice and ask questions. I will try to share what i learn along the way as well.

Note- The door side connector has no pk/yl wire for that side...

NOT RED- The wire is the PK/YL

And a good source for accessing connector pinouts and repair parts/kits if you know the connector designation from the schematics:

Well Jimmy07 to the rescue on the door wires on a different thread i initially posted on- it would appear that the harness purchased from the wrecker did not have the correct wiring. Thought i was losing my mind....hahaha. Working with them now to sort that or i will have to Re-Pin the door harness to include it.

I suggest stripping the donor harness and adding what you're missing to your original factory door harness.

Coming from My original body harness was only 2 wires, the violet ones. Pin 7 and 10.
I added the green ones pin 4 & 11 that run to the RF hub im thinking... as they go to it then back around and over the the passenger door.
I will need to add the grey as I believe they are from the rf antenna for keyless entry?
I need to get the actual schematic for my truck to know what the 2 viloet wires are for... in the door panel, they appear to go to the mirror... which is neither power switch or heated fold

I’ll quote this post over here from the other thread, and continue to post here so not to hijack the other thread anymore. I got confused with the different years you had going on, but the door harness you received is correct. So, what other options are you adding that specifically deal with the door side of things? I know you’re adding power locks and windows. Are you adding the passive entry antenna and door handles, also? You are correct on the green wires for the antenna, and grey wires for the handle. Are you upgrading mirrors? Those two violet wires you referenced do in fact go to the mirror. It is for the outside temp sensor, and is fed from the BCM. If you are upgrading mirrors, you will no longer use those two violet wires, because the temp sensor will now give it’s data straight to the door module, and the BCM settings will have to be changed to reflect that. Let me know all the features you’re adding to the truck, and I’ll make a list of all the settings you need to change so you don’t have to hunt them down from different posts.

Between the shared schematics link and connector views links Mpgrimm2 posted, you shouldn’t need a techauthority subscription, but I would suggest springing for the alldata subscription for your truck. I think you can find a coupon for ~$25 for a year.

Hey Jimmy... im kinda going all out. List of adds are as follows.

Power heated seat - passenger manual heated

Dash is just the shell & gauge cluster, doing aftermarket deck - speakers and amp- idata link etc for steering wheel controls ( not going to worry about upgrading the heat controls) May add the puck antenna ( still trying to figure if there would be a use for it really)

Heated steering wheel/column w/audio controls

Power doors - lock windows - passive entry- push button start
Power heated fold mirrors

Overhead console with the homelink and rear slider button

The fancy mirror with the rain sensor on one side and the remote start antenna (?) On the other.

Power rear sliding glass

Lighted sun visors

Console with shifter from a 13 sport

Factory Remote start

Aftermarket tail gate handle w/camera

Aftermarket auto lock for railgate as well

I know its a bunch, but its kinda just one of those things... ive got some time on my hands and im really enjoying the build so far.e4b06a01ce518d0df223d113a1acd6d8.jpg043154b73b1fda9282ed6fb7bd7084b3.jpg

Hey Jimmy- So i did get the Alldata for my truck, it appears to have the same schematics as Mpgrimm2 has posted. Thanks again Mike!!

I see the PK/YL wire does run back to the rear slider i am adding as well, so i think it needs to be in the TIPM connector just the door portion will be irrelevant? Or would it pull from a different circuit completely for the 2 Door?
The diagrams do not seem to differentiate between the 2 door and 4 door trucks.

Bear with me as much as your patience can handle.....lol. I am really trying hard to put some understanding into the wiring diagrams. Its the connection points and stuff where i get lost in it all. And im much better hands on than studying the paper :)

Correct. You still need to use that wire for the power slider coming from circuit breaker 1 at the PDC connector.

First pic is the PK/YL wire from the blue TIPM connection. Run through the door and back to the rear.
2nd - 3rd pic is the smaller PK/YL wire from the passenger door grey connector ( inline body front door right 1 i believe) it splits and goes to the blue TIPM connector and to the ( not sure name ) black connector in the drivers footwell left of the columnbc5b7a29290bc643e0a39c1428c675bb.jpgcdfecf8fa746fcad5121a93b0cc5458b.jpgdd5af94445b570d4df44ca9d5a0f97d4.jpg

So there appear to be that wire already in place in the blue TIPM position 9. Going to the black inline body IP. Should I splice into that line?
Or pull the power for that from another circuit

The circuit is from the door is F982 fused ignition switch output(run-acc) for the wire that is going to position 2 on the passenger side door ( inline body - door front right.
This side has the pk-yl wire in the door harness to the switches.08c24e46c77e427ccf7cd4ed29dffd75.jpg

Does anyone know in the plain jane 14 tradesman reg cab exactly what that wire from position 9 in the blue TIPM is powering? I feel like I "should" be able to splice in there as its a run accy circuit "by the connector pin out".
I have to sort out where to put the pink yellow wire from my donor harness. It runs back to the right rear headliner connector ( cre cab harness).
Thanks in advance people :)

Here’s all the options that the PK/YL wire in pin 9 of the blue PDC connector (circuit F982) is used/spliced for:
Interior mirror
Rain sensor
Front passenger door window switch
Sunroof

Thanks again Jimmy, those will all be tied in there. I will try to get everything run that makes sense & then make 1 post with any questionable wires-circuits at one time.

There's a special place in ram heaven for you and I sure do appreciate the help.

Gents- The wires are run :) - Much thanks to Jimmy07 & M2Mods Mike Grimm for their patience and time!

Next step I'm going to swap the Dash Pad on to my OG Dash ( the donor dash has the 8 Speed Trans Control & i don't know if i want to get into trying to sort that back to the column/console shift wiring. And it had Dual Heat Controls, which mine does not.
Anyways, next step, swap the dash pad, install dash, doors & Seats. See if the wires catch fire......and if not, then try to get it all enabled with the Alpha OBD. Then pull the seats, clean up the wiring, and tun the deck, sub, amp wiring. When its all done ( many more questions for the Alpha guys yet im sure) ... I will try to compile pics and a bit of a write up as well as i can remember.

Again- Much thanks to the group and a few in particular- Without the guidance im sure i would have thrown in the towel long ago.

Well I'm into the testing faze [emoji4]. Truck did not start on fire.... so thats good.
Added power fold mirrors - work
Power seat worked without OBD
Power windows worked without obd
Evic buttons work from new steering wheel and console

Having a couple issues I need some help with.

Ambient temp is reading -40, throwing engine light. I did route the new hood latch switch right to the bcm pins 11 & 23 on the connectors ( cant recall but was as per ram wiring)
Tried to move ambient temp sensor to DCM ( i assume that is door control module?)
And i added the hood latch to pin 11 with alpha obd. Unplugged battery overnight, still the same.

Power door locks not working. Tried to add but not sure im doing correctly in OBD.

Any tips?

1) ambient temp code- do I need to get into the obd and change more as I have the hood latch and the power mirrors?

2) Power Locks to work? What needs done in obd?

Note pics of logs incl. And as well i do not have radio or hvac controls installed yet.

Any help or insight would be appreciated [emoji120]

Well, mucked around long enough, the door lock are working- not entirely sure what all i changed back and forth, but they work :).
Figured out the Ambient temp issue as well- so more winning there.,

Now im on to the service airbags and seat heat issues, might just abandon them here soon and come back to them later.

Well, many thanks to all involved with advice, direction and patience with the questions [emoji4].
Started as a plain jane ST.... niw she a super sweet sport.
Got everything working except the rf hub.
Possibly because there was no radio in the truck when I was trying to program?? I dont know....and i just wanted to drive it....so thats on the back burner for awhile.
The back story: found the truck at a great price and mechanically in awesome shape.
Did the sport bumper and hood swap.....looked nice.... wanted power doors..[emoji1787].
Found seats, doors, dash, shifter console, overhead console, carpet, powerfold mirrors, steering wheel and collumn, slider rear window.... and a donor wiring harness from a cc.
Separated the harness for the additional wires and learned the circuits....and asked a ton of questions.... Thanks to those that helped [emoji4].
Now its finally back together, threw in a nice head unit and 8 speaker- 2 subs and a couple amps....and shes rocking [emoji869][emoji869]dd425b815a9455d3c614f97e769e681e.jpgda60320a81d9dc2464041eadeefa25cc.jpgbea28041e96bed900d967188f4330fe4.jpg310ebdc91cf5c2932b80118d0746f55f.jpgdf3a66a5986a3868ccb1706117779e89.jpg0adf653297c6a9ac93dbcfb96c32243c.jpg19c975c291961e6787b6647fed76324d.jpg3e6f435e48af8d48820ebdbc4a163314.jpg
