To make a stupid story short, while wheeling I managed to sheer off both Evap canisters from the bracket under my 99 Ram 1500 5.9l. In turn caused a P0455 I believe is the code (evap system large leak). I have a buddy who works at the local Ram dealership and informed me that one of the 2 canisters is no longer in production. Wich leaves me the option of a junk yard yank.
My question is, is this indeed my only option, and are these canisters pretty generic or are they engine family specific?
