Anyone ever rebuild there's? Curious as to the complication of it? I'm debating just resealing mine with the seal kit as it leaks versus buying a new or reman one.

Just got done doing a steering box on a older 1972 Ford truck with a Dodge steering box... I had to open it up and doa bit of swaping of parts but made it work!

The only thing that is a big pain in the rear is the twenty some odd BB's that must be reloaded back inside the rack without pushing them too far around. Hard to explain but easy to show...

It just leaks, so it needs a reseal kit is all.

The last re-build kit I bought years ago for my older Dodge truck I had it was like $45 buck at NAPA and had the full reseal kit.

As for adjusting there is a set procedure on how to do it in the Dodge FSM which nobody ever reads. Then also everyone is running oversize tires so it adds more counter leverage force back to the gear box and POP! There is a limitation to all parts and what they where design for so if you got a modified front axle (lift, large tires, offset rims, etc) expect failures sooner...

I picked up a reseal kit from O'Reillys for $16.00 and as of right now my truck is fully stock.

Yeah I completely tore it apart, resealed it. I used a write-up from another site. I couldn't take any pics as my cell camera bit the dust a long time ago.
