How many of you with that are missing the 2 pin connector for adding the hood light kit have a 3.6L v6/8spd ? (Just poking around at this)

Follow up question is:

which one of the following 2 connectors do you have somewhere on the right side firewall area ? ... and are you missing the wire on both sides of the connector at pin 6 or pin 8 as appropriate?

Diesel 6.7= 34 pin connector with B+ at pin 8.

3.0L/5.7L = 14 pin connector with B+ at pin 6.

No mention of 3.6L that I see.

2019 5.7L classic 1500 here and missing the plug. In the hood insulation there isn’t a hole either, but you can see where it would go

If you get the chance, can you locate that 14 pin connector (inline-dash RT/Engine) & check for pin 6.

Mine was there, is not supposed to be? I installed the factory underhood light already.

What year, model, trim is your truck?

My 18 Laramie 1500 had it also. May just affect the 19 classic but I believe I've seen some earlier trucks missing it too.

Do these underhood lights give off enough light to make them really useful? I've seen lots of threads on it. Just not sure if it's more of a plug-n-play novelty item or not.

My 2017 Ram 1500 express 3.6L QC 4x4 has the connector for it.

I have added the OEM under-dash lights and love those vs. not having them.

To should definitely replace the standard festoon bulb it comes with using an LED version (before install) ... Huge difference.

I have a 2017 1500 SLT with the 3.6L. I dropped in a LED before install. All the holes were there also for the cable tie downs.
