Hi all I hope this helps someone out because this has annoyed me for a while and the fix was so simple it’s worth trying before everything else. I had a new water pump put in almost 2 years ago now. After that was fixed my heat would only blow Luke warm throughout the whole truck. I took it back to the garage they said it wasn’t related to any of that. I started researching these forms and YouTube and everything pointed toward the blend door or actuator or the heater core or thermostat. I don’t drive the truck a lot so I finally got around to checking the blend door actuator took it loose and adjusted the temperature and the gear would not move. Bingo thought I had it ordered a new one from Amazon and when it got here hooked to the wire harness right away and same result nothing moved. Now really frustrated started researching again and finally searched something that mentioned recalibrating/resetting the HVAC system. Found a bunch of stuff about this but only one clicked it listed like 5 different ways to perform this and one was by pulling the fuse for the HVAC for a few minutes then putting it back and it mentioned this option was really good if your actuator was stuck. When I removed mine it was stuck half way open/shut obviously why it was Luke warm!! I reinstalled my factory actuator so it was back in that same position where it got stuck. I found the fuse pulled it for a few minutes put it back in and everything worked. FYI the manual lists the fuse as climate control and the fuse box has it as HVAC. I so glad I figured it out but frustrated that I dealt with such a simple fix for 2 full winters. I read through so many threads on forums like this and never ran across the recalibration/ reset as a possible solution so I had to post this.
