I have a 18 2500 tradesman. I purchased the oem remote start kit (latch, wire, fobs). I installed the latch, ran the wire, pulled the correct C plug, and there is already a wire in the 11 spot.

Looks to be brown with yellow stripe. The original hood latch did not have a plug, and I can't find one anywhere near thany ideas?

I was following a great video on YT by Daniel Pace. His wire spot was empty... mine is not.
I did pull the upper left plug

Anyone got any ideas?

Remove the wire and tape it back on the harness.

So it looks as if brown yellow is in 12 (based on wiring diagram this is correct) and 11 has Violet/blue (VT/Blue based on diagram).

So I shouod just remove this VT/BL and use the one I ran.

Hopefully it worked out for you!
I was able to de-pin and stick my wire in, not a fun experience, but not bad.

I ran the alphaobd, but haven't driven the truck yet to finish the process. That's tomorrow

Thanks for the assist!

Congrats! One of my favorite “mods” to the truck so far. Very satisfying.
