Those tires and wheels look awesome! The 20" wheels I don't care for are the ones with low profile tires.

Hey i'm another old guy and I love the look and ride of 20x10 rims mounted on 37s, for some reason the visual balance is just right to me, they also looked really hot on my 33s before I changed up. the tires are 12.5 wide. As I said almost everybody loves the look. Good luck with your choice.View attachment 169215

The larger the rim the shorter the sidewall is going to be with any given tire diameter and that translates into a harder ride and a greater chance of popping the bead of the tire. Adding more mass with the larger tires also translates into a harsher ride with the shocks having to work a lot harder and probably why the Rebel is available only with 275/65R18 BSW All-Season LRR tires on 18 inch rims.

I agree. The balance of this looks just right to me. How much lift is that?

Mine came with base wheels on my Laramie and I’ve since switched several times. This is my current set with Toyo AT / II in 275/70 fitment. My last set were Toyo in LT 295/70 and what I have in my garage are brand new 275/65/18 Cooper tires.

Thanks for sharing. Definitely want more meat on the tires for sure... So going to be shopping for 18" wheels, might be a little bit more comfortable than 20s. What size are you running on your 18s?

I currently have (2) sets of wheels. The 18” set have 275/70 on them and the 20” set have 275/55 on them.7c5c7aa49cbe8753029f158c79a82b78.jpg

So is there really an issue with some aftermarket 18” wheels clearing our brakes? I’ve always liked the 20’s but it has crossed my mind a time or two about dropping to 18’s.

I figured it was 17’s we had to avoid....

There really are as some wheels depending on style and offset will cause problems. I took(2) trips totaling 1100 miles each with both sets of tires and the ride quality was the same in my opinion. I can’t see how 17” wheels would fit unless they were custom made.

I believe this isn't a problem on the 4th gens, just the new 5th gens.

i read today too that the UCA's on the 5th gen have plastic inserts on them to save weight and cost making the UCA's less durable in 5th gen than 4th. (on the topic of differences between the 2) that came from the Ram 5th gen forum.
