Couldn't make a deal. Sucks when dishonest people do **** like that.

Liars and scammers. Seen a a lot around.here. lately, I trust no one unless I know them. Had a friend pick up an old Lincoln that had masonry cement instead of bondo to cover a wrecked quarter...

Wild one, I did very little barley, a cousin was big into it and seemed to do alright.
Local line closed in the 1970's, 1/3mile trip , the 49 2ton fine, Then Kyle closed in the late 80's?
I am not good with dates. That was 8 miles, after that it was Swift C or Rosetown, 60 miles .
I had a trucker do most of it, Then Found a '75 at a auction at a great price because it had a Tag and not full tandem, But that would haul, 855 Cummins, Roadranger , air, Hauling to city did not really fill it up , thou I have not got stopped, weigh scales where other side of the city.;)
PS, when I sold out ,I did good on that, I did the interior with modern materials, sound proof, insulation, camera's etc. Great truck .

10 hours round trip. But you know what they say everything happens for a reason.

These pictures are from this morning. they only made 660 BC-150 IHC trucks in 59. And this one has the 304 5.0L in it to boot. And according to the serial this is #42

Funny thing is my 1953 IHC truck I bought was right bedside it 2y ago  and its 15 minutes from my house. Its a bit more involved thats why I didnt really want to restore it. But I thought it had the I-6 seeing a V8 in there with a 4 speed changed my mind.

The Farmer wasnt there today unfortunatly so Ill go back Monday and see if I cant snag it up for 500$

Only found 1 place with info so far, https://beltguy.com/my-1959-ihc-bc-150/

i had a 304 in a 68 1600, with 4&2, it was a great motor, almost as much power as the 345 , but was happy at a bit more speed. I had a 392 I put in , was not a huge improvement, other them when loaded heavy in the field.
That last post looks like a 59 dash, I can't make out the tag.
Silly me I reread, and you did say 59.

Well well well, look what I'm heading out to look at this week.

Stored inside all its life. Has registrations to boot. Seller wants 2k but I'll try to get it for 1500.

Runs and drives and has hydraulic dump bed

I know I was supposed to do the Ford Lowrider car hauler but this thing needs zero body work and is complete.

For years, ever since I was a kid I had my eyes on my grandfather's 1937 Maple Leaf grain truck. I had visions of making it into a Rat Rod but sadly, before I could speak up, my uncle sold it to some farmer to convert into a hay trailer. The cab got trashed. Should have spoke up earlier I guess.

My uncle has/ had a 39 GMC, same thing, They retired yrs ago , but kept the yard, and last I was there, that truck was still in the shed, about 20 yrs ago, other then bird crap still looked great. never sat outside. The son, my cousin is 92 now. Would be a bit of a drive.

I asked him why not put it on the sale , and he said no one would want those old trucks, It was better then some stuff he sis have on the sale.

It is really funny how some older people look at things.

When i was living on my Grand Fathers Dairy Farm, back in the 1950's.
He bought a 1935 Ford Truck, that at one time had been a Bond Bread truck.
When it came to the Farm, it had a Flat Bed on it
Originally, there is a good chance that it was about the length of this Autocar, but newer

1935 Fords would have this type Cabs

after we put heavier leaf springs on it

My Uncle bought a 1936 Ford, for his own Farm
Both trucks were used on both farms, when we hauled baled hay from the fields.

I had my first accident driving the 1935 Ford,
both trucks were hauling Hay up a steep hill, i was in the front truck & missed a downshift, i tried to find 1st gear & found reverse instead. :(

That hill was so steep, that i don't think that i ever was able to pedal a full sized bicycle to the top, i had to push it near the top.

I learned how to use a come along on our old 53 Ford 3 ton by the time i was 9,lol. It was the first grain truck my Dad ever bought, and we were still using it well into the late 70's. I learned how to double clutch in it to :Big Laugh:

This reminds me of the story of a guy applying for a truck driving job.

After talking with the job seeker, the boss takes him out to the lot to show him the trucks. They walk up to one, the boss opens the door and ask the applicant, "Do you know how to double-clutch"?

To which the job seeker replies, "You ain't fooling me...One of them pedals is the brake".
