I see the fuel pump module is discontinued and several people are using a 91-93 tank set up. I have a 91 30 gallon tank and it fits everywhere but hits the cable housing on tail shaft of transfer case. Anyone else experience this and find a solution?

What about a heat gun to reform the tank in that spot ?

LOL, Thats what I ended up doing! I used the heat gun and gently got it hot, used a dead blow handle and pushed in the tank where needed, a little at a time, and then held it and cooled with water. The 91-93 tank is a little deeper over all so will have to make some spacers for the cross member that ties the transfer crossmember to the frame. I am told the 91-93 had electric speedo and that is why the tank was different.

So I did the 1991 30 gallon tank, module swap and put 20 gallons of fuel in the 30 gallon tank and it only registers under 1/4 of a tank on the guage. Any ideas? Checking ground now.
