I'm going to install my 2/4 drop (Mcgaughy's Spindle) on Friday night and i'm going to try and get in for an alignment Saturday morning as there is a local road race event on monday that i want to try lol. When I've lifted Rams in the past only a front end alignment was necessary. Is this the case for lowered trucks too?

Yes it is necessary. A 4 wheel alignment is better although im not sure how adjustable the 4 gen rear is.

unless you have adjustable rear control arms they can't really do anything for the back end. Most places will only do a 4 wheel alignment these days anyways so in most cases the point is moot but if they will do a 2 wheel alignment that's all it will need.
