I’m posting because I’m getting a lot of conflicting info on the web. Looking for a good level or small lift (3 inch max) for my Ram. Does anyone have experience with Maxtrac 3 inch kit or any good suggestions? Was looking for something like the Bilstein adjustables but looks like not available for 2WD. Also should I change the upper control arms on 2016 Ram crew cab with Hemi? Some things say not needed on the newer years. Any suggestions appreciated.

I've had two Maxtrac kits, and our company has used 3- or more lift or lowering kits, all have been outstanding!!
No Bilsteins, use the spindles.
You can do OEMish rear springs, or upgrade to the Fox 2.0's

And all have used factory UCA.

Thank you, good to hear. I’m looking at the kits with their own branded shocks with the springs or Fox shocks and springs.

I did the OEM branded shocks, but upgraded to the Fox 2.0 a week or so ago. Both work, I just think the Fox are a heavier duty shock.
To me, worth the upgrade

Man, your trucks look good. Did you do anything to the rear or just the front 2.5 lift? I'm debating if I should spring for the Fox shocks. I had Rancho 9000 on my old Jeep and was really happy with them.

I didn’t do anything to the rear. I’m happy with the setup.

On mine, just did 3" springs and shocks, originally did their OEM replacement which is more than ample.

How harsh / stiff is the front end compared to OEM? I put in Rough Country springs and it's quite stiff.
Surely doesn’t ride like OEM, I also changed the rims and tires so I went from the Stock Goodyear’s to Nitto Ridg

It came with larger spring and that piece that holds the wheel bearing and connects to the upper and lower control arms (sorry I don’t know the name) also came with a spacer for the rear end along with Fox shocks. Running on 35” nitto trail grapplers and absolutely love it. Ride quality seems to be about the same. The only thing is if you put a new spring it will settle in after some time and won’t have the same height. Which is why I just ordered a front leveling spacer.

I'm looking to just level the front with the back. Will it be the 2" or the 2.5" kit to get it completely leveled with the back?

I'm in the same boat as you OP.

Been searching on either a level kit for my 2wd or something small like the 4" RC lift kit. Since I have 275/60/20 tires on already, I would like to keep tire height at 33".

Like some have mentioned about the upper control arms, the ball joints are already split on mine so I may just replace those while I'm at it.

Just do a lot of searching and looking at other peoples rides and see what stance/style you like. I know with whatever choice I make, I only want to do it once lol!
