Working on replacing my radiator in my 2000 dodge 2500 4x4 v10 and not sure how to remove the transmission cooler lines from the radiator.

8L V-10, 5.7L Hemi, 360 4bbl
Fuel line type fitting removal tool. Slip around the hard line, push back to compress the teeth inside while pulling the line away from rad. Can be tough sometimes. Also make pliers type tool for this. Mine has been trimmed to fit.

I got some of those clips you showed but they seem to tall. I will try to trim but as you can see its a tight fit, not sure if I can trim enough.

Do you have to push the small nipple in at an angle into the transmission line you have it setting on?

If you get what I mean.

And then when you push the whole thing down it should come off?

Never used one before...just an observation

Look close. Mine has been double trimmed. The base and the 'nipple' both. Used belt sander as I recall.
Just work it in between, push away from cooler. Little circle of teeth inside angled towards hard line, grabbing a raised ridge around the cooler line. Can be PITA.
