I apologize if this is the wrong place tp post, and also I really don't know much about automotive stuff. My dome light has been out for a few months and I thought it was a bulb. When I took it apart I noticed that the part where the bulb plugs in was burnt. Pics attached. I thought to replace the whole thing but having a hard time finding the part (Mopar JV76TL2). I have found some but very expensive and I think I just need the yellow thing. Can someone please offer some guidance on this, and also can I switch this over to led somehow?
Thank You for your time.

Usually the "Yellow Thing" is not replaceable by itself. The place to try is someone like - "ROCKAUTO" Or they may have an assembly for less then tthe OE dealer part. Again "usually' those burn marks are from poor contact of the bulb and/or the wiring. It creats a spark - like a spark plug - causes the burn. Poor contact also causes resistense (wow that wasn't even close) resistance as a result amp go up (like wires in a toaster). Or maybe someone has an "aftermarket" LED assembly replacement? Then of course there are the local to you "junk yards" , Salvage Yard, etc. depending what they are called in your area. I any sure someone has "BENT" a Ram "good" enough to get it sent there. They will also be able to check via interchange book or computer what other years will also fit.

Thanks. I'll give them a try. Do you think there is a led bulb that will fit this?
