2001 blue bird bus with 24v cummins

so i have a 2001 bluebird bus with a 24 valve Cummins and Allison trans and a little less than 70k miles i was wondering if it was the same engine that was in the 2001 dodges.

I believe there are some similarities. I think that some of the routing of lines may be different. But I would say the block and things should be similar or the same.

Should just be a 6BT 24V Cummins with an Allison 5 speed behind it. Pretty much bulletproof as a whole. Only quirk in a transplant might be the wiring interface to the new home, which may require a trip to a pro for wiring mods and a computer flash. I would have loved to have found one of these units when I built a 92 2wd Ramcharger about 10 years ago.

how hard do you think it would be to take the Allison out of the bus and put it in my 2001 dodge ram

it wouldnt be too complicated.... you might want to search for a cummins swap DIY thread, should be very similar
