I've got a 2002 2500 quad cab SLT w/OEM cassette AM/FM radio, Recently found an 2001 OEM Infinity radio. My Ram has only 4 speakers, 2front, 2back all after market w/no amps. attached. Will the Infinity radio be a simple swap with existing cassette AM/FM harness even though I believe the Infinity calls for six speakers, 2 A pillar, 2front & 2back (those 4 w/amps)? Thanks for any help offered.

The Infinity head won't power the front speakers without their amps if I remember right. Do yourself a favor and just buy a nice aftermarket single DIN head and be done with it.

I swapped my Infinity unit out years ago with a lower end Pioneer system and it's been great. Converted the front doors to 6.5 speakers as opposed to 6x9, did 6.5 in the back compared to 5.5. I kept my factory door amps and then recently added a Kicker powered truck box sub and it sounds leaps and bounds better than what the old system could muster.
