My 2004 1500 (5.7 hemi, 4wd) doesn’t shift out of the lower gears when it’s under 50F until the trans warms up after 5 miles or so. No filings or junk in the pan. Is this the shift control module at the bottom of the trans? Not throwing any codes. Many thanks.

so if its like my Durango in the cold its very normal for that to happen because its dodge transmissions of that era if its slow and then after it warms up it completely fine its just the fluid warming up and then its fine for the rest of the day I would just let it sit and warm up

my older rams never shifted into Overdrive for a mile or so its normal and by design if you have no slipping or codes your good keep driving.

Tell us you have NEVER looked at your owners manual without actually telling us.....
