few weeks ago the truck gave code that bank 2, sensor 1 was bad. I replaced that. soon after it gave 430 code that converter was bad. a shop welded in a new one. code came back. same shop said your exhaust man. bolts are broke causing leak and sending 430 code. I had the manifolds repaired and dang code came back. shop said the sensor 2 past the converter was now the issue so I replaced that. CODE CAME BACK....so looking it seems like the weld on the new converter may have a pin hole leak at the top (just before the sensor 2).....question is would a small pin hole leak cause 430 code? truck runs great and now the shop is telling me to use premium fuel and pour injector cleaner through it to try and resolve the issue.

any thoughts or similar situations out there?

answer to my original question is yes! I put exhaust tape around the welds and dang it the code has stayed off. I'm going back to the shop for a correct fix or money back! now I know I did not have a bad cat or 02 sensors....just the leak in the exhaust manifolds......wasted $300
