I drop my keys the other day and now my keyless entry doesn't work. The key will start the truck but won't lock or unlock it. Popped the battery out , thinkin that may reset it. My other fob works fine, also installed a new battery and nothing. Is this thing broke !! Do I have it reprogrammed? Are these made that cheap that they can't withstand a fall? Any ideas would be great.

Thanks,Fuzzie

take it apart and clean the contacts and try again. My fobs suck. After a while I have to clean the contacts with an eraser and the bottom side of the buttons for it to work right again.

Not when you dropped it. When I bought my truck I got 3 replacement fobs, because it is expensive to program the first fob but the other 2 are just the price of the fob. One of my keys can start the truck and open all my locks, but cannot remotely open doors. I have this in case of emergency, and is roughly the same size as the key, it was 45 bucks as an add on and I believe it is called a transmitter key, it has no buttons. And I have 2 replacement fobs w/o key that I bought off ebay for 25 bucks, and had local locksmith program it. It is better to get all the keys you might need because it is cheaper to program a fob with working fobs then reprogram the entire ignition if you loose a fob.
