2011 Dodge Ram Radio Issues

I have a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 for my work truck and I am having issues with the stock radio. When I am driving with the radio on, I will hear a load crackle then a pop from the speakers then no sound. The head unit will still be on and function fine except that I can not adjust the sound. If I turn the truck off and let it sit for 5 min the radio will work fine when I turn it back on. I just got the truck about 2 months ago, and since it is a company vehicle I am assuming everything is stock. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
