2012 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport SRT design

Hello Everyone,
I need some help. Im trying to find some information in regards to a truck that I bought from a dealer 5 years ago. Im the 3rd owner of the truck. I bought it because I love the look of it and of course the options it has. When I bought the truck the salesman told me its a rare truck, that they only made a few of these trucks with this option. Its not a true SRT8 but its a trim line he explained. Doing the research I found the options on other vehicles like the 300c and the Wagon but I cant find it in the truck version. The options that was listed this truck has. For this year truck the sport came with gray leather interior this one has black,, etc. My question is has anyone seen this type of truck on the road. Does it exist or got played by the salesman.. Heres a picture of it. Its registered as a Sport. Im in the process of selling it and just want the information to be given to the buyer. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to RamForum.

Your truck looks like a Sport from the front but that SRT8 badge is not legit. Ram did not build an SRT8 4th generation truck. It sounds like the salesperson played you a bit on the model and trimlines. Of course you can get leather, black or other colors, in a 4th generation truck. It's also easy to change out OEM interior colors and trims.

The last SRT truck built, the SRT-10, was based on the 3rd generation truck platform. Introduced in 2002, with production started in 2004, the SRT-10 came equipped with the 8.3L V-10 Viper engine. SRT-10 production ended with the 2006 model.

No worries. It's still a nice truck.

FYI, SRT Design was a package upgrade to the LX cars.
