6.4 BGE or car engine?
Do all 6.4's have that oil filter adapter and what looks like a cooler?

The only real confusing part is this is a 6.4L block out of a 2014 2500. But I have no BGE casting on it. only info I found is here https://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopa...4z3GCTkuG4xolWGPxtivtje30sKOxwJipznxvlu4gk55M

Hopefully @Wild one can shed some light on this for me. I got the better Heads so im not to worried.

Supposedly the real early truck blocks didn't have BGE cast into, but that's only what i've heard.Even if it's not a BGE block,i wouldn't worry about it Ian,even the car blocks are good for 1,000 hp.You've got the good BGE heads with the ribs, and that's what you want, but with upgraded/lighter valves,as the truck valves are heavy as hell, and will need killer springs if you want to reliably rev it over 6300 rpm, which you will with that cam, lol. For the majority of applications the car block is more then sufficient.I'd research those AAD billet lifter trays though, they don't have a great rep from what i've seen of them. Try to track Shane Sextone down on facebook,he just had a 6.4 built for his turbo truck and he's out of Leduc. If you track him down you can tell him you know me.

I'd seriously consider replacing the valves,as they're heavy as hell in the truck heads, and with that cam you'll want some rpm to make power.Last thing you want will be valve float and pistons and valves getting way to friendly.

Just dropped off the two 6.4l Blocks , 2 sets of BGE heads , and my BGE Crank at AMS Engines.

He bought my spare 6.4L BGE Block to build a Twin Turbo :eek:

That shop is amazing.

They did Shane's 6.4 for his turbo truck too,he's pretty happy with the engine, but his 8 speed took a dive shortly afterwards with 750rwhp,so now he's saving up to have Jon Sipple build him one that'll hold the engine,i figure after he has a bullet proof 8 speed,he'll be saving up for a better t-case,lol

He was supposed to meet me at Castrol the last week-end the track was open.We were going to run his truck against the wifes 1320,but he never made it. Finally got around to pulling the intake off the car today, going to give it a slight port job.

Walk into Crappy tire today and this **** was on sale for 359 and to top it off I got 137$ cash back on this. Not a bad score for 225$ lol...

Super happy as I actually needed one for the swap. and it fits exactly were I wanted.

Also traded the 6.4 cover for a 5.7 cover.
