2012 ram 5.7 hemi wont run right need help

No egr valve on the 4th gen it’s controlled by vvt. Maybe that needed to be changed if switching from mds. I’d imagine it could cause rough idle if not right.

yes but the vvt is still installed and working also new vvt gear.

new crank sensor came in Welp we all knew it wasnt that easy...

So what do i do? im probably going to put air into the cylinder to see if any leaks out valves? or what do you think of these numbers?

Leak down test definitely more accurate........air out the intake/exhaust/radiator/ or crankcase shows a sealing issue.

That’s a .15% loss on #7! I would leak down test it and see like you said if it’s rings or valves!

Yea i guess il do this next sigh.. round 6 here i go tearing **** apart again:893Chainsaw-Smilie- got pissed at it today and just punched it hoping something would just blow but it didnt hahaha def still has its balls.

OK guys found the problem....... 6 of the 8 intake valves leak even tho it ran good other then rough idle and had no power loss... But just to make sure il post what i did.... Took off intake rocker arm assys and push rods filled up each intake port with brake cleaner hooked compressor to each cylinder air/bubbles in 6 cylinders ...... so i guess il just drop the heads off at the machine shop..

Good catch. The seats are a known problem if any overheating occurred.

It sucks that it’s having these issues at only 160k. Mine has 105k (2011) now and this has me worrying a bit.

change your oil take care of it and you will be fine.. the guy i got this from ran it into the ground so motor wasn't in good shape to start with. Should of just got a diff motor
