2013 1500 Dented Frame Crossmember

Hey all, hope everything is well.

For starters, this year hasn’t been great. My dad fell 30 ft onto concrete because of what we think was heatstroke back in June when he was working and he is now in a rehab center but still not awake. This happened on top of a bunch of other crap too.

Anyways, my truck has been through hell, going to start restoring her pretty soon along w upgrades. I asked this a while back but i forgot what everyone’s input was on it. Truck jumped a barrier, went up around 6 or so ish feet into the air and slammed back down on the side of an embankment around 10ft. Wasn’t trying to off-road just some moron that decided to stop in rain in front of me on a road that bends and specifically says NO STOP.

I was looking at this again and it started to bother my OCD, truck has always driven straight etc, nothing really happened from it after. No cracks in the welds or anything either. Thoughts? It’s a but hard to see but i just want some reassurance is all.

Alignment with the wheels is fine. Some suspension bushings are worn out but that’s expected with the age and mileage.

Sounds like that was a pretty hard hit. A bit of a wild ride, too.

IMO, if your alignment is good, and no other damage, you should be good. If there's a good body shop that you trust, have them take a look.

Sorry to hear about your Dad, prayers sent. Try playing him some music he likes, or even something he doesn't, so he will want to get up to turn it off....lol. Seriously, keep your chin up. I wish you all the best, hang in there.

I agree with the body shop, at the least they can throw it on the frame rack and check square and inspect the portions you're concerned about.

Thanks man i appreciate the help. The nurses at the hospital told me the same thing yesterday, LOL. We’re trying to stay positive though.

Sorry, to hear about your dad the lord will see him through, for sure get that frame checked out at a reputable auto body frame shop.

Called up a frame shop today and he told me over the phone if it drives straight after an alignment & there’s no damage done to any of the welds it’s fine. Both are true.
