My 2013 sports stock cluster (56046541AD) had the infamous backlight flicker. I tolerated it for a couple years, but finally replaced it.
I replaced it with a unit from a crashed 2013 (56046544AF) which according to the trucks build sheet, had the same size 26 gallon fuel tank, but had a 4.7l engine.
Everything seems mostly fine, the flicker is gone, but the DTE range says 1999 miles to empty. I'm pretty sure, based on past experience, that it's not correct
Is this something that will change as I drive it? I've only driven 5 miles with the new cluster in.
Or, is there some setting I need to change with alphaOBD?
When I first started the truck after installing the cluster, the mpg showed 99 and the range showed 1999. After driving a few miles, the mpg started showing normal readings, but the range still says 1999.
