I'm working on installing a set of these steps on my Dad's '14 BigHorn 2500.
The mechanical part, I have little / no concern about.

I'm working on the wiring first.
I've got the 4 purple wires into the cab, but I'll be damned if I can get to the harnesses I am supposed to tap.

There is a 'component' (best I can tell its the Alpine Amp) in the way.
From the instructions, it needs to be removed for install.

That's well and dandy, but I cannot seem to even locate the top mounting screw.

Has anyone installed a set on a '13 or '14 Ram and run into this?

Thanks in advance!

Well, approached this today with a fresh head and far nicer weather.
It was the amp for the stereo, and it came right out. Just need a 7MM deep and a 6" extension.

This is certainly the most pain in the ass wiring project I've done to date. Yuck!

I also thought the 2500's were wired to the fuse box connections. My 1500 had to be done the same way as the OP mentioned. I ended up using the wires in the drivers side kick panel. it was much easier.

In '13 they started pulling signal from under the driver kick panel.
It's a mother f*cker to get in there.

I was all prepared to wire from the fuse box.
Guess another mark against the '13+ trucks.
