I have a 2013 ram 1500 that will crank over fine but won’t start will kick over on starting fluid. The truck has been sitting for about a week ran fine when parked. Went to start it and would just crank over and when I turn the key on out of nowhere it’s displaying 4wd system temporarily unavailable and service electronic brake system. You can hear the fuel pump coming on fine. Only codes I am getting are P0562, P0222, and P0123. Battery is good 12.7 volts not running. All fuses seem to be good. Any help would be appreciated.

I understand what you said, how old is the battery and did it recently get cold there?

I'd rule out air and then see what is failing gas or spark. Kick over and dies when sprayed through throttle body? Take off air filter and leave open still no start?

yeah it will kick over when I spray starting fluid down the throttle body so it seems like a fuel issue to me, but I am not getting any codes except those ones for the throttle position sensor. I can hear and feel the fuel pump coming on.

And it’s weird that the 4wd drive message and electronic brake message are coming on with this issue but not throwing codes for them.

You are going to need to check fuel pressure will have to be a in line tester as most new cars to make it harder for us removed schrader valves

Crankshaft position sensor, the reluctor wheel has magnets glued on glue fails let’s in a little moisture then all the magnets will come off. There is a recall on it. I did mine before the recall , I also had the trailer brake and 4x4 service light .

Beau2222,

Do your engine a big favor ..............
STOP using STARTING FLUID on a Gasoline engine, it will quickly eat the Special Coating that is on your throttle body

If you have to spray anything at all,
WD-40 is very flammable, it will become a flame thrower if you spray it over a small flame.
Many ppl have burned themselves badly doing that

................................

Check the voltage at the TPS (refer to a service manual for your vehicle for this specific information).
If the voltage spikes or is too high (over 4.65 volts with key on, engine off), then that is indicative of a problem.
Carefully trace each wire from the TPS wiring harness to check for breaks, rubbing against other components, etc.

Crankshaft sensor is is getting signal because the rpm’s jump up when I crank it over. I’ll have to check fuel pressure but am leaning more towards the tps at this point.
