2013 rear defrost question

My new 2013 laramie didn't come with a rear defroster. However, on the dash buttons and the 8.4a there is a button that seems to be "rear defrost" which is enabled and push-able.

What does this do?

That's probably the button for the heated seats, or steering wheel.

So if there are no lines going through my back sliding window or the back window and the rear defrost button is pushed (button lights up), it activates heated exterior side view mirrors? I don't have heated seats or steering wheel.

That's correct, it will just heat the mirrors. Mine is the same way...
