It definitely made "intake noise" more noticeable under load. The tube runs right along the firewall so you can definitely hear it. I would say it added a little more throttle response, nothing crazy though.

I give you that a CAI adds sound but the throttle response is purely your perception. There's no way an engine that relies on psi of boost to develop power would be any way effected by lowering the intake resistance by a few tenths in/wc
CAI can help with throttle response in gas engines which intakes are in a vacuum.
