I just bought another ram and looking to do a front to back service on it. Let me know if this info is right as I am pulling it off the top of my head.

Oil 5w-20 about 7 quarts
Front and rear diff along with transfer case 75w-140
Stock Spark plugs NGK?
8 speed I assume does not use atf+4 since it is a ZF but something else like maybe Top Tec ATF 1800
Can I use an oil filter from a 2011 as I have a couple extra?
Antifreeze I assume is G-05
I assume I need to change out the thermostat to something cooler like a 180 or 190.
Do I need to grease the front drive shaft on a 1500 or just 2500 with every oil change?
Am I missing anything?

My 2014 1500 4x4 uses 3 different weights of lube for front and rear diff along with transfer case.

I've got a 2014 RAM 1500 Sport 4x4. Got about 75000 miles on it. My question is, when should I be looking at performing any major service to this truck? What are the critical items I need to be servicing? The truck runs perfectly right now. Just don't want to break down unexpectedly somewhere. Thanx

Curious about this as well. Bought my ‘14 Ram last March with 72,000 miles and now have almost 82,000’miles on it. Previous owner took remarkably good care of the truck, and I want to continue making sure it runs well.

The first thing I have always done when purchasing a used vehicle is change all fluids and air filter. Your spark plugs are 100000 mile plugs, so that for me is a judgement call. If the truck still has OE battery I would change that out also while checking the connections.

What color Antifrezze is in the truck now?

You need to check ur owners manual for that because I believe Chrysler has changed it like 2 to 3 times during the 4th gen life span and mixing types is BAD.

Definitely this! I and others have been saying for some time that modern vehicles are rolling computers and really need good volts and amps pretty much all the time. To me, dan's rig, and even perhaps the OP's, is into that age range where battery failure is very possible (depending on conditions, of course). I'd swap that thing as quick as I could!

I bought my 2014 RAM Sport new. The oil has been changed regularly. I swapped out the stock air filter for a K&N as soon as I got it home. But other than that, I haven't performed any major service. I'm more concerned about the mechanical parts that might need servicing. For example, what about the serpentine belt/timing belt. Should I be looking at replacing it? And my transmission is sealed. When should I be looking at flushing out and replacing the stock trans fluid? My stock battery died at about 60K miles so that has been replaced. I want to keep this truck for as long as possible and just want to make sure I don't overlook any critical maintenance items. Thanx..... d.
