Just a heads up on the Kings.. Noticed that my tire has been rubbing the hose that leads to the resi. May want to zip tie yours back toward the chasis with a standoff.

Called SDHQ to get an update on my Kings, and i'm looking at at least 4 weeks from the date i did place the order, i'm hoping to spend the last week of december doing this install.
In the meantime i was taking some pictures today to see how everything looked like in my front geometry with the Rancho QL struts and Zone UCA's.

This measurements will be my point of reference before the Kings.

Rancho front Measurements 12/11/2018
39 1/8 driver
39 1/2 passenger

Distance from fender edge to top of tire
5 1/2 driver
5 3/4 passenger

Then lifted from diff, Distance fender edge to top of tire (Struts extended in full with tires of the ground)
passenger 9 1/8"
driver 9 1/8"

UCA's at rest

Now lifted from the front, letting everything droop with tires off the ground

Some info on our sway bars diameter i found in the other RAM forum, i'll leave in here in case i need to reference it

I checked my sway bars with a big adjustable wrench, i have the 20mm rear sway bar, 35.5mm front (measured right besides the bushing) so if there is only 2 front sizes, with one being 32 and the other 36.8mm, i don't have the 32mm for sure.

Just wondering if the core 4x4 sway is the same as stock size?

Got the rears installed this morning, the King rears are 1/2 shorter than my old Rancho's, 27" extended, 17.5" compressed

Install was a breeze, just got the tires off, lifted the truck from behind and let the whole thing droop in the air

Took me about an 1 hour to do both sides taking my time to apply a light coat of Boeshield T9 to the shocks to keep the whole thing shiny and protected from the elements, i've used this stuff before with great success

You'll love that Boeshield stuff especially if you're in the salt belt, it doesn' smell like fluid film, and it keeps anything that it toches protected for a while, fluid film is a lot thicker so it can be a mess, you spray this and use a rag to clean and shine.

Yea, that's two huge benefits for sure. I need something, they are getting stupid with the amount of salt brine on the roads out here. I actually run without my fender liners so I can keep all the hard to reach spots clean.

King valved for the RAM, i want to see how this valving feels like first, SDHQ can valve them but i didn't want to wait, the month that went by for this things to show up felt like a damn eternity King also told me they can do free of charge as a courtesy for the first 30 or 60 days if i didn't like it, i'll take their word for it if needed :)

That's Awesome! Well worth the trial and error if need be. If they already valved them I'm sure you're gonna be happy. I'm literally drooling over my phone screen at them.

Got the fronts installed today, [RANT] ******** it i'll rather work on JK all day long hahaha, problem when working alone is when you have to lift this facking heavy coilovers with one hand inside the strut tower, while you're trying to thread the bolts on top of the tower, blind as you can see the holes from underneath or from the top with the damn UCA being in the middle, (i should have known better to remove the UCA, but instead i tried and tried several times to cheat the install leaving the UCA alone) and at the same time keeping the reservoir brackets aligned with the holes, my god it took me at least 2 hours on one side to figure how to get the bolts on top of the coilovers installed, it wasn't until i removed the damn UCA that i started to see progress.... [/RANT] :)

Sorry i didn't take good pictures with the actual install, i used an old phone to take a couple of them and because this install kicked my but for hours, i had no time to document the work as i wanted.
I had to cut the plastic liners to get the reservoir brackets in place, and i think there is no way the factory preset height will lift the truck 2.5" as they say, they come preloaded for at least 2 i'll think and i doubt you can't get below that, i went 3 full turns above the factory preset, and i think that should put me at 2.5", will see more tomorrow once they settle more on my way to the alignment shop. I used a vice to adjust them before i put them on the truck couple of days ago, so at least i didn't have to spend time messing with the adjuster today.

This is how they came preset from the factory, i had to call King to ask if this was normal in this application, (sent pictures) and they said yes, that's how they set them for up "level" in the RAM, i thought i was going to have 0" lift, but they said the springs are preloaded already like that for level, so i'd say the factory preset will be 2"

Driver side (I gues the 1mm opening accounts for a tiny bit more lift) :)

I haven't measured anything yet as i finished tonight, but i'll do some measurements tomorrow after i get her aligned.

Rancho's are going to hybernation in a box until i need them again when the CO's rebuilt time cones in.

I'll post some pics tomorrow, and i'll test them out in a dirt road close to home, want to open her up and let her rip to break them in :)

Ya getting everything lined up on the top end is a bit*#!! Surprised you had to cut your liner, I was able to push mine in to clear. If you are still looking to get more height mine are at 9 threads showing and still rides like a dream.
They look real good on there and I’m sure you’ll love em!
Oh ya, don’t forget to zip tie that hose back toward the frame

Thanks for the reminder, i'll check that out this afternoon, what springs do you have?, the spring specs should be stamped in the coil, i have the 3.75X14x500, which King indicated 3.75 is the coil thicknes, 14 is the lenght of the spring and 500 is the lbs/inch
