I’ve heard going to 2.8” on the Bilstein front leveling shock it would be advisable to go with new upper control arms. My truck sits level at the 2.1” setting.
I recently lost .5” in the rear due to adding a 250lb Roof Top Tent (with rack and tonneau cover) in the back as a permanent install. I was thinking if I go to the 2.8” setting in the front and also add Icon Vehicle Dynamics 1.5” springs in the rear I should net level to be 1/2” to 3/4” positive rear rake with the new setup.
I go to a well established 4x4 shop and they advised not doing the 2.8” Bilstein setting in the front with even with new upper control arms. They say they seem in 4th Gen Rams if they lift more than 2” the front CV Shafts will be too extreme of an angle and will cause me to constantly go through them (replacing them)…
What say y’all?
